Over the coming weeks, we’ll be delving further into what Forbidden Power means for the Mortal Realms – and your armies – with previews, brand new short fiction and more, so keep an eye out right here.Dominion of SigmarBefore the coming of Chaos, the Mortal Realms were littered with glorious temple-cities and towering edifices dedicated to the glory of the God-King Sigmar. Many were cast down or fell into disrepair during the dark times of the Age of Chaos, yet their noble heritage endures in the ruins that remain. If you want to give your battlefield a Sigmarite makeover with some modular terrain (including stylised hills!), the Enduring Stormvault, Timeworn Ruins, Sigmarite Dais and Shattered Temple sets that make up the new Dominion of Sigmar scenery range will also be available. The 88-page Forbidden Power book tells of the battle for the Midnight Tomb, as the spectral armies of Nagash lay siege to the free city of Lethis, seeking to break into the Grand Stormvault hidden beneath its streets. In addition, you will find new rules for recreating the armies that fought for Lethis, for fighting battles in the grim region of Shyish known as Stygxx, and for playing a campaign to conquer multiple Stormvaults hidden across the Mortal Realms to capture the powerful relics within.
There’s something for every faction in the book, so no matter which grand alliance you fight for or the deity you serve, your army can fight for the right to loot the forbidden Stormvaults too! In addition to loads of new rules and background, the expansion includes a new piece of modular scenery – a Penumbral Engine – and four new endless spells in the form of a Soulscream Bridge, Horrorghast, Shards of Valagharr and Lauchon the Soulseeker. The set also includes warscroll cards for each of the endless spells as well as the Penumbral Engine and all of the new terrain kits from the new Dominion of Sigmar scenery range. Speaking of which… So ... your sad that prodos has stopped making your favorite alien mash up, no more miniatures and only dreaming of the possibilities, well dream no more! a fan of the original game has decided to step up and mash together his own versions of characters and monsters alike and you can get them too! a man by the Facebook name of Yoshua Whoa-jnarwsky,has taken the mantle and created all sorts of models based upon characters only dreamnt of, we at miniature adventures have seen first hand his creations and they are on par with the originals. dont believe us? take a look on the gallery and then head on over to the AVP Miniatures Wargaming Customs group on Facebook if you still dont believe us listen to the frankenstein of miniatures himself ... "I like to think of myself as the mad scientist Dr Victor Frankenstein when it comes to miniatures. I like to find fodder figures that are broken or defected. I clean them up, take a step back, and let the character tell me their story. I build from that. Then I either re-sculpt gear and armor or sculpt new pieces depending on what the figure needs. When it comes to Prodos AVP figures, I love that you get multiple figures per box. There is never a shortage of parts to cut up to reposition and/or resculpt. My absolute favorite character to make is Machiko Noguchi. I think I have made over 40 different variations of her (all one offs). With the discontinued AVP production, I have purchased a dumptruck full of models to keep me busy and hopefully keep clients happy for a long time." So there you have it! come guys there is a galaxy of characters to play with and Yoshua is the man to open the airlock for you!
